It is said that you will not move forward to success unless your why is greater than your fears. Why I do things is more by impulse than necessity.
Take for instance, the wireless router that is casting internet into my house is so brightly lit in obnoxious blue light it is a distraction. For months I have ignored it. Today I solved it and found it an interesting topic of discussion. I solved it by covering it with a box that is over sized so it could breathe and not get so heated that it would burst into flame. My eyes are relaxed now, not burdened by flashing blue lights emitting from the white router housing.
These little things pile up in the back of your mind, flashing blue, and affect us mysteriously. I think it is the way the why of action taking works. Why causes enough irritation to finally bring us the idea that moves us forward.
I share my time with a few things. Work time - paid hourly, cooking time, eating and socializing, and watching TV until I am too sleepy and then rest time. Life time is a concept that brings in Christ time, living a God man living, sharing my spirit for the bringing forth of God's building and His move on the earth. Wasted time is the parts of the day occupied by nothing worthwhile, reading silly books, observing others fun, ignorant of others feelings and actively isolating myself. Why is that? I know a lot, and can share a lot of information on many topics especially nutrition but choose instead to waste time.
Desire comes into the picture: here is the mission piece. You need to want something enough to overcome the time element that becomes a waste. I want to change myself, I want to be something else, I want to have more for myself. They say be specific of what you really desire and it will come to you from the Universe. I do not disagree but will it bring happiness? Things to test...happy now?
My sister Kathleen has stage 4 pancreatic cancer and I have a few things to do with her before I say good bye. We are going to collaborate a collection of recipes for our children. It will include everyday food, sometimes boring but always nourishing. Fancy food, spicy food and emergency food are all on the list. It is time to get serious and get going. I am happy now.
Desire then the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow. (1 Peter 2: 2 As 1newborn ababes, long for the 2guileless bmilk 3of the word in order that by it you may 4cgrow 5unto dsalvation, Recovery Version)
